The most important part of every woman’s body is the beautiful small village beneath her thigh. Permit me to say “vagina” because that’s exactly what it is.O
The cervix is the lower portion of the uterus. It is almost two inches long, and it’s tubular in shape and very beautiful.
The cervix plays a major role in child bearing. It widens up during childbirth to allow for the passage of the baby. It also allows for the passage of menstrual fluid from the uterus. Again the sperm also travels through the cervix in order to reach the uterus to fertilize the eggs. https://www.verywellhealth.com/what-you-need-to-know-about-your-cervix-513843

I heard the story of a young nurse who died of cervical cancer and i was extremely saddend. She could not talk to her family and her colleagues about her predicament. To her it was abominable for a respected nurse to urinate blood. When she finally got the courage to confind in her friend and was later forced by this friend in question to tell her mum she was at the verge of dying.

RISK FACTORS OF CERVICAL CANCER
Multiple sexual partners: The Human Papillomavirus, a sexually transmitted infection is a major cause of cervical cancer. The higher your number of sexual partners-the higher your partner’s number of sexual partners -the higher your chance of acquiring HPV. Seek for protection.
Early sex:Having early sexual intercourse increases your chance of HPV because of a biological predisposition. The cervix is immature during the adolescence stage making it more susceptible to HPV infections.
Continuous birth: Women who have had 3 or more full-term pregnancies have an increased risk of developing cervical cancer. This probably is due to the increased exposure to HPV infection through sexual activities. Also, studies have pointed to hormonal changes during pregnancy as possibly making women more susceptible to HPV infection or cancer growth. Another thought is that pregnant women might have weaker immune systems, allowing for HPV infection and cancer growth.
Again, Women who were younger than 20 years when they had their first full-term pregnancy are more likely to get cervical cancer later in life than women who waited to get.
Smoking: Women who smoke are about twice as likely to get cervical cancer as compared to those who do not smoke. Tobacco by-products have been found in the cervical mucus of women who smoke. Acording to Researchers, these substances damage the DNA of cervix cells and may contribute to the development of cervical cancer. Smoking also makes the immune system less effective in fighting HPV infections.
Long term use of contraceptives: There is evidence that taking oral contraceptives (OCs) for a long time increases the risk of cancer of the cervix. Research suggests that the risk of cervical cancer is dependent on how long a woman takes it. But when she quits, she returns to normal.
