Empowerment care, a humanitarian organization that seeks to improve the lives of others through health care and education has organized it’s sixth annual health care outreach (Life check) at Abelemkpe school park in Accra on 31st August, 2019.

The outreach is also known as the Urban back to school and medical outreach program and it’s under the auspices of Empowerment Worship headed by Prophet Gideon Danso.

It often takes place after the church’s thirty days fasting and prayer session. They believe that when you Fast and pray, you give.

The vision of the church is to give back to society and live Christianity.

  • From the time of it’s inception in 2014, empowerment care has touched over thirty- one thousand lives through medical services and education.

This year, life check saw people from Teshie, Tema, Alajo,  Nungua, Nima Abelemkpe , Mamobi , Avenor and it’s surrounding environs.

MEDICAL SERVICES PROVIDED

There were screening for various diseases, specialist care, Surgical operation, dental services, ultrasound-scans, x-rays , laboratory test, TB check, Eye care, blood donation from church members and participants  etc.

Several people were put on NHIS registration and renewal. They gave out shoes, clothes, school bags, books and stationaries for school children as part of their Back to School project.

There were abundant of food and drinks for participants .

The outreach is supported by Devtraco, Voltic, A1 bread, Ministry of Education, WHO , Ministry of health and other individuals and church members.

Jesus said in  Matthew 25 :35-40 ,

For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’
“Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’

“And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to
me!’

And now these three things remain;

Faith, hope and  love  but the greatest is love.

Let’s love lead.
